When I was studying garden design at Hampton Court, I got very interested in the history of the plants discovered and collected by botanists who explored the world looking for exotic species, many of which are commonly found in our gardens today. The plants were studied, preserved and displayed in herbariums. This design was inspired by the botanists and the new discoveries they shared. The warm, desaturated palette evokes a history of collection and preservation and the design will add layers of interest to any interiors project. My order from https://www.spoonflower.com/profiles/rachelgreenwood has just arrived and can’t wait to make some cushions for my studio

This sunny collection is inspired by nostalgic childhood summers. Soft blues, aquas, buttermilk and golden ochers gives a sun-touched feel and will add a fresh vibrancy to any room or sewing project. It is also ideal for kitchenware, tableware and paper goods. I’ve making some linen napkins for picnics

Winter Woodland is a collection I created for a design brief competition. The designs are hand-drawn then vectorised and developed in Adobe Illustrator. A classic winter holiday collection with a 1940s look, these designs (six repeat patterns and two placement pieces) are versatile and perfect for mixing and matching in a range of product applications
